FAQs

How can I order?

We are a cottage microbakery. Currently our operation follows the preorder and pickup/delivery model. We also participate at farmer markets on the weekend.

Is there any incentives to be a regular customer?

YES! Absolutely. We have a subscription program called the Sour Squad.

Are there preservatives or additives in your breads?

No. Absolutely not. We do not add preservatives or bread enhancers or any additives. Our intention is to make REAL (and tasty!) breads for you and your family.

Is your bread organic?

A large number of our ingredients are organic but not all of them are. We strive to source for high quality ingredients as local as possible, which means not all of our ingredients are organic. For example: our eggs and honey are sourced from small farms in proximity to Port St Lucie. The small farm operations mean they can not afford the organic certification, which is costly to a small business, even though they take great care of their hens and bees.

Is your bread vegan?

Most of our artisanal hearth loaves are. They are made with simple ingredients: flour, water, salt. Some has vegan inclusions such as maple syrup, dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. Please note that there are certain breads that have non-vegan inclusions such as honey and cheese, which should be listed on their label.

How do I keep sourdough breads fresh?

Sourdough breads stale fast in refrigerator. Because they are fermented, sourdough breads won’t spoil quickly like “regular” breads and will keep for days at room temperature. The crust likes to breathe and will stay happy in open air 24-36 hours.

Slice only as needed to keep crush fresh.

Sourdough freeze very well. We typically like to slice, cover in plastic wrap, and freeze in our household.
